On the back of an excellent individual performance from him last night at Rushall Gresley Rovers have been boosted by the news that Mickey Lyons has agreed to sign a contract keeping him with the club for the remainder of the season.

The talented midfielder returned to Rovers in the summer on non-contract terms but the signing of the deal will ensure that he remains a key part of the club for the foreseeable future.

Manager Gary Norton is delighted that Mickey has committed himself to the club saying: "Mickey Lyons was fantastic last night against Rushall and some of the things he did was breath taking and he's settled in nicely.

"I'm extremely pleased that he's signed for us for the rest of the season."
