Mickey Lyons

The deal for him to return was agreed last night after the player had mutually agreed his release from Nuneaton Borough after failing to settle there.

Manager Gary Norton was delighted with the midfielders return to the club - two months after he had originally signed and commented: "We were gutted when Mickey left us to join Nuneaton just a couple of weeks after originally signing for us but it was an offer he really couldn't turn down.

"However - he said at the time that if he didn't settle there he wouldn't hesitate in coming back to us and he has been true to his word. Hopefully, he will be here a little longer this time round!!!"

Supporters will get there first chance to see Lyons back in a Rovers shirt at the Bass Vase final at Burton Albion on Thursday. K.O 7.45pm
