Chairman's Shout

Hi Everybody

Welcome to the Moat Ground for the first match of the 2008/09 season. Can I also extend a warm welcome to our visitors today from Sheffield FC, it's great to have you here and I hope you enjoy your afternoon with us.

Well, here we are the beginning of a new season and a new era of Gresley Rovers. What a summer it has been, we have been so busy we haven't had time to miss the football!

Just a bit about the football and to say how excited I am about the season ahead. We have had a mixed pre-season and now it's all down to Gary and the lads to give us all something to cheer about.

As we have said on the Forum and in the press we are looking for volunteers to help out around the ground with various positions to fill, so if you can spare a few hours at home games please go to the office and offer your services.

We have a lot to tell you but I would need a few more pages than I have today so we will be announcing a date for the next Fan's Forum shortly. The club shop will be up and running again very soon with new football related items for sale as well as a new fashion range for men and women.

Thanks to all the people that have put time and effort in over the closed season your involvement with Gresley is much appreciated.

I hope you enjoy the new look programme, thanks to Matt, Rob and David for their hard work and keep buying it, it really does help the club.
